Bio

Lisa Johnson is originally from Oxford, OH and Erie, PA. After receiving her BFA from Miami University and MFA from Indiana University in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design, she was awarded scholarships at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, Haystack Mountain School of Craft as a TA for Kiff Slemmons, and Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She has served as the Director of Studio Arts at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, FL, and Director of Jewelry & Metalsmithing at the Armory Art Center located in West Palm Beach, Fl. Currently, she's building on her studio practice by exhibiting work, conducting workshops, and taking custom orders. Books featuring her work include: Glass Jewelry, On Body and Soul: Contemporary Armor to Amulets, 500 Necklaces, Humor in Craft, 500 Prints on Clay, New Earrings, and 500 Jewelry Designs.
